What is the CardiSong app and what does it do?

CardiSong lets you record your heart sounds at home using your phone's microphone. Your recording is securely uploaded and reviewed by a physician, and the reviewed ECG result appears in the app. The app never diagnoses on its own - every result is interpreted by a doctor.

How do I record a measurement?

Find a quiet room, follow the in-app instructions, and start the recording with your phone's built-in microphone. Stay still and silent during the recording - the app checks the signal quality as you record and guides you if anything needs to change.

Why was my recording rejected as poor quality?

Accepted Answer

The most common causes are a connected Bluetooth or wired headset (the app needs the phone's built-in microphone), background noise, or the phone not being held steadily against the chest. Disconnect any headset, move to a quiet room, and record again - the app needs at least 10 seconds of clear signal.

Does the app diagnose my heart condition?

No. CardiSong does not perform automated diagnosis. Every recording is reviewed and interpreted by a qualified physician. The app only displays the physician-reviewed result and any notes from your doctor.

Question 5

When will I see my results?

Accepted Answer

As soon as your physician has reviewed the recording, you'll receive a notification and the result will appear in the app. Review times depend on your physician's availability.

I can't log in or forgot my password

Accepted Answer

Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen to reset your password by email or SMS. If you no longer have access to the email address or phone number on your account, contact us at support@cardisong.com and we'll help you regain access.

Question 7

How is my health data protected?

Your recordings and results are encrypted in transit and at rest, and are accessible only to you and the physicians involved in your care. We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR - see our Privacy Policy for full details.

Question 8

How do I delete my account and data?

Accepted Answer

Email support@cardisong.com from the address registered to your account and request deletion. We will permanently delete your account and personal data in accordance with the GDPR, and confirm once it's done. Note that some medical records may need to be retained where the law requires it - we'll tell you exactly what applies.
