For doctors

A platform for reviewing ECG recordings.

Your patients record their heart activity at home. CardiSong converts the recording into an ECG and organises it into a single workflow. The reading and the opinion remain entirely yours.

Workflow

Three steps, no intermediaries

The patient sends a recording

The CardiSong device records the ECG and plays it as sound — into a call to the automated line, into the mobile app or through the browser on the web platform. The platform converts it into an ECG.

You review the recording

The recording appears in your account alongside that patient’s earlier recordings, ordered by time. You see the signal as it was received. The reading and the opinion are entirely yours.

You give your opinion

You send your opinion to the patient through the platform. When you judge that the condition needs urgent attention, the patient also receives an urgent SMS notification.

Control and access

What stays in your hands

Only the doctor and the patient see the recordings

The patient chooses their doctor. Only that doctor and the patient can access the recordings — not other users.

Urgent notification is your call

The urgent SMS notification goes out when you send it. The platform does not decide which condition is urgent.

No subscription fee

There is no subscription fee for using the telemetric ECG system. The patient pays you for reading the ECG.

In detail

What to know before you apply

What you see in your account

Each patient’s recordings sit in time order, so a new recording is read against the earlier ones. A recording that fails the quality requirements — too quiet, say, or with no signal — is marked invalid together with the reason and cannot be read; the patient records again.

A result opens in an interactive ECG viewer with a grid and time-axis navigation. You enter your findings, add conditions and recommendations with a label — normal, warning or emergency — and mark the result as reviewed. When needed, you generate a PDF report with your opinion, or download the data — CSV for a set of results, JSON for a single recording.

How a patient starts

The patient registers with you: you enter their details through a guided form and link a CardiSong device to their profile. When the recording will be taken from the chest, you mark the spot where the device is to be placed.

Before the first recording you show the patient how the device works and decide when and how often they record — on a schedule or when symptoms appear.

Three routes from the recording to you

The CardiSong device transmits the ECG as sound and needs no Bluetooth pairing. The patient sends the recording by one of three routes.

Automated phone line

A call to 02 4929 309. No internet needed; it accepts recordings only from the number registered in the patient’s profile.

Mobile app

Sends the audio file encrypted and keeps it if there is no connection at the time.

Web platform

Recording through the browser. Not every browser allows microphone access, so the app and the line are the more reliable routes.

Staying in touch with the patient

Through the built-in chat you hold two-way communication with the patient: you start a conversation, flag urgency and attach files. You are notified of new results to review and of new messages.

What the platform does not do

CardiSong records heart activity only while a recording the patient started is running — it does not provide continuous monitoring and does not replace a prescribed Holter study or a standard 12-lead ECG. The platform makes no diagnosis and does not read the recording — the conclusion is yours.
